Your buyers are asking AI what to buy. Do you know what it answers?

The next search engine gives one answer, not ten links.
For twenty years, being findable meant ranking on a page of blue links. Buyers now ask an assistant and act on the answer. The list of ten results is never opened.
The habit is spreading through whole categories in months, and nobody goes back to browsing. A link on a page nobody opens is worth less every quarter.
What replaces it is being recommended by name, inside the answer. And unlike search, nothing tells you where you stand there. No impressions, no position report, no dashboard.
That is what generative engine optimization (GEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) set out to fix. You cannot improve a position you have never measured.
Google users clicked a result 8% of the time when an AI summary was shown, against 15% when it wasn't. Only 1% clicked a source cited inside the summary.

Flowbase was mentioned in 24% of 55 AI answers checked across Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity, trailing the 3 named competitors tracked. That’s competitive visibility. When it does come up, it ranks 4.3 on average among the products named. Set Asana and Monday.com aside, and Flowbase ranks 3 of 10 comparable brands.
Scored against ClickUp, the most-named brand of a comparable size in this category, which appeared in 56% of the same answers.
How you compare to similar-sized brands
Share of voice above is dominated by Asana and Monday.com, the way it almost always is in a category with a couple of household names in it. Set them aside, and here’s the same measurement — mentions out of the same 55 answers — against brands of a more similar footprint.
Flowbase ranks 3 of 10 comparable brands — above the peer average of 22%.

You are close to absent from budget & value
In budget & value, Flowbase appears in 0% of the 8 questions asked, while Asana appears in 100%.

Competitors own “ease of use” and you don't
Competitors are described in terms of ease of use 29 times in this run. Flowbase is not associated with it at all. The same is true of affordability, integrations.
- 3
When you are named, you are named late
Flowbase is on average the 4.3 product listed. Buyers typically act on the first two or three.

Nothing here is simulated.
Every number in your report comes from an answer an assistant actually gave, to a question a buyer would actually ask.
Real AI platforms, not simulations
Every question in your report is put live to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Nothing is cached, mocked up or guessed.
Real buyer questions
Prompts are written the way buyers actually ask an assistant for a recommendation, and your brand name is never baked into the question.
Your data stays yours
Your brand, category, and competitor names are used only to generate your report. Nothing you submit trains any AI model.

Frequently asked questions
The objections we hear most, answered in full rather than deflected.
Something not covered here? info@echoandpartners.com reaches a person, not a bot.
How is this different from SEO?
SEO measures where your page sits on a results page. This measures whether an assistant names your brand when a buyer asks what to buy, which is a different question with a different answer. A page can rank first in Google and never be mentioned by ChatGPT, because the answer is generated from what the model has read about you across the web, not from your position in an index. A rank tracker cannot see any of it: there is no ranking to track, only an answer that either includes you or does not.
We're a small brand. What if AI doesn't mention us at all?
Then the report says so on the first line, and it is built for that case rather than tripped up by it: no empty charts, and every section that needs you in the answers steps aside for one that doesn't. You still get who gets named in your category instead of you, what those brands are praised for, the questions that went to a competitor, and the sites those answers are built from. Including whether your own domain is one of them, which is the difference between nobody recommending you and nobody reading you.
Isn't it early to worry about this?
That is the argument for measuring now rather than later. The brands assistants name today are the ones they have accumulated the most material about, and accumulating it takes time, so this is a position built over quarters rather than bought in a week. A baseline now tells you where you stand while the answers are still moving and while most of your category has not looked, and it gives you something real to compare against when they do.
I don't sell in English. Does this still work?
Yes, and it matters more than it sounds. You pick the market you sell in, and we write and ask the buyer questions in that market's language: Danish questions for Denmark, German for Germany. Assistants recommend a noticeably different set of brands depending on the language they are asked in, because they draw on different reviews, comparisons and forum threads. A report run in English would be measuring a market you don't sell in.
What do I actually do with the report?
Every report ends with a prioritized action plan: what to fix first, ranked by how much of your visibility gap each item accounts for, with the specific number from your run behind it. Not generic advice. Findings like which buyer question type you are absent from, which attributes competitors get described with and you never do, and which sites the assistants read when answering questions in your category.
Why not just ask ChatGPT myself?
You can, and you'll learn something from it — one question, asked once, is one data point. AI answers vary between platforms and between runs of the same question, so a single check can't tell you whether you were unlucky or genuinely absent, and it can't track a competitor, break results down by buyer intent, or give you a number to compare against next quarter. The report is 50 to 200 real buyer questions, asked of four assistants, scored and aggregated with a stated margin of error — the difference between a spot check and a measurement.
How accurate is the score?
Every report states its own margin of error. The score comes from a sample of AI answers, so it carries sampling error like any measurement. We show the 95% confidence range alongside the number, so if you re-measure later you can tell whether a change is real or just noise. Bigger plans ask more questions and therefore produce a tighter range.
How often should I check my AI visibility?
Answers shift as models are updated and as more content about you and your competitors appears online. Most people start with one report as a baseline, then re-check quarterly. Re-running for the same brand adds a trend comparison against your previous score, so you see the direction and not just the level.
Is my data used to train anything?
No. We use your brand, category, and competitor names only to generate your report. Nothing you submit is used to train any AI model.
Which AI platforms do you check?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. If a platform fails to answer during your run, the report says so and excludes it rather than quietly blending a partial result into your score.
How long does it take to get my report?
A few minutes, depending on plan size: roughly two minutes for Starter and up to about ten for Pro, since every question is asked of all four assistants in turn. You don't need to wait on the page. We email it the moment it's ready.
Being recommended is the new being found.
Marketing spent twenty years learning to win a page of results. The next twenty are about being the brand an assistant names. That position is being decided now, while most of your category still watches its search rankings.
Nobody has a decade of advantage in this yet. That is the opportunity, and it starts with knowing where you stand.
